- Greg Oden is undergoing knee surgery sometime this week because of pain in his right knee. There is no definitive schedule for his return, but all Portland Trail Blazers fan should have their fingers crossed that he is at full health by October 30th (start of the regular season.
- Phil Jackson, along with Roy Williams have been inducted to the hall of fame.
- The Denver Nuggets and the Philadelphia 76ers have gone through with a 4 man deal that sends Reggie Evans and Ricky Sanchez to the sixers for Steve Hunter and Bobby Jones.
