Tyson Chandler Traded

Tyson Chandler is ready for a fresh start.
The Chicago Bulls agreed Wednesday to send the center to the New Orleans Hornets for veteran forward P.J. Brown and swingman J.R. Smith, the Chicago Tribune reported Wednesday night on its Web site.
Officials with both the Bulls and the Hornets declined comment.
“It’s a great basketball opportunity to play with a bunch of young, up-and-coming guys. That’s the thing I’m excited about,” Chandler told the newspaper. “They’re moving the team in a direction that fits me well.”
Personally I don’t know why Chandler is getting so much attention in the free agent market nowadays. He had a mediocre season this year, his points per game average even dropped since last year, and the Hornets are trading away an experienced big man; PJ Brown, plus an explosive second year pro; JR Smith, for Chandler. I just fail to see how this helps the Hornets… :s
Update: 2 Years later, boy was I wrong about the analysis of this trade
