Regular Season Concludes

Kobe Bryant doing his thing

For every die hard Laker fan around the world the end of the 2003-2004 regular season was something to remember, as the Lakers did the improbable and down right near impossible to finish ahead of Sacramento in the Western Conference. Combined with a Kings loss to the Warriors and Kobe Bryant’s clutch shooting, buzzer beating, all out performance against the Blazers, the Lakers capped the night to take the pacific division title and to finish two seeds higher than the kings. It was an awesome game with two amazing shots by Kobe Bryant, one at the end of the fourth quarter where he twisted and turned and heaved a shot before the buzzer which sent the game into overtime. As impressive as that shot was, in the second overtime with 2.2 seconds left he shot a buzzer beating 3 pointer which ended the game with the Lakers winning 105-104.

In the eastern conference teams moved around the standings just as much. Combined with Miami, and Hornets winning while the Bucks losing, Miami moves up to the fourth seed in the Eastern conference while the Bucks slip from the fourth seed to the sixth.
